Abietin: Rosin Abietic Derivatives
For rubber, tires, inks and lubricants
Abietins are derived from rosin, much like tar acids are derived from the partial decarbonation of rosin. They find ample use in the rubber industry as tackifying agents due to their good plasticizing properties.
